hi, I have read a few threads on here and apologise in advance but there seems to sometimes be a conflicting view on what to do.
the majority, overwhelmingly, seem to suggest ignore, however, some suggest you will be issued with a court summons etc.
I have received a notice for £100, reduced to £60, if paid within 14 days.
it shows car and reg, no driver shot, or more importantly a shot showing the actual parking, just an arriving and leaving picture, along with the time difference.
what should I do, I am happy for just one answer, obviously being the right one, but is there any chance I could be pursued or taken to court for payment etc.
this is the first time I have received such a notice and to be fair are a little unsure as to what to do, of course I don't want to pay , and if I was pursued then I would insist I pay £1 per week or month even etc, but before I do anything I wanted to get some advice.
I have as yet made any correspondence back and have no intention too at all, if that's the best advice.
thanks everyone in advance and sorry if this appears to be covering the same old ground again.
im happy to pay if needs be, i was in the wrong, but they have no image of me parking, just dont want it to drag on and then get t court etc.
is it wise to ignore? i need to make a decision before the 14 days is up.
if i appeal, on what grounds do i do it and what is best?
thanks and apologies.

No, the majority really don't any more. Not in 2013.
The old advice up until a couple of months ago, was to ignore but whilst that is still an option - but only if you are OK about ignoring lots of threatogram debt collector letters and knowing that PE sometimes do choose 'ignorers' for a small claim now. If you are up for ignoring knowing that, then ignore.
We mainly advise a written challenge and then a very strong POPLA appeal.

They all look like that - and are winnable at POPLA when you appeal well.what should I do, I am happy for just one answer, obviously being the right one, but is there any chance I could be pursued or taken to court for payment etc.

What was wrong with our advice here?

28 days:

Consider, does your NTK meet the listed requirements? If not, say so.
What other breaches of the BPA Code of Practice can you add in (or you can wait for the POPLA stage and add them in there).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm in a similar position. Unfortunately I sent in a pretty weak appeal letter a few days ago before coming across this forum. My partner thought it was worth trying to appeal but we probably should have chosen our words better. In in I used works like "didn't realise" and "apology". Should I either a) send in a further letter of appeal using the letter found on parkingcowboys or b) pay. I'm slightly concerned that my last email to ParkingEye could be seen as an admission of guilt.
Could someone please advise?0 -

Neither a) nor b) applies - only mugs pay!!!!!!
You just wait for your EYE01 'computer says no' standard PE rejection letter. Doesn't matter that you sent a soft appeal, sit tight!
Then you start your own thread and ask for help with your POPLA challenge which will be a winner.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
