Hello!
As I’ve found a few juicy comps through MSE, I thought it only fair to share the one I’ve just come across, so...
There's a relatively new website running a facebook and twitter comp. They don't have many likes at the moment so the chances of winning are higher. Facebook and Twitter links are below but I have also spotted this piece on their website which basically says that, once you've liked/followed their social media pages, if you share anything on their facebook wall or retweet any of their twitter tweets you will get extra entries for whatever social media comp is running at the time. You can share or retweet has many of their posts as you want but you can't share or retweet the same post more than once. Each share or retweet guarantees and extra entry to the current comp that's running. Here's the link to the piece - http://www.pocketfulofrye.co.uk/hot-topics-archives/452-competitions-sharing-is-caring.html
Here are the Facebook and Twitter competition links.

Thanks for the comp.
The competition will close on Tuesday 30th April. See http://www.pocketfulofrye.co.uk/ for full details.
Would you be ok just to edit the title for indexing by date/clarity please eg:
E: 30/04 Win! Heathcote & Ivory goodies up for grabs(FB or TW)
rather than:
Win! Heathcote & Ivory goodies up for grabs
Just click edit & advanced
If left as is it will be indexed wrong so you end up with the issue that can be seen on page 1 of this view of the board.Plus we may lose it to Game Over.
7 How can I amend my thread title if I need to?
To edit the thread title you can click 'Edit' then select 'Go Advanced'.
The next screen will show your post & above it you will see 2 boxes 'Reason for Editing', which you don't have to complete & also 'Title' which has your thread title info in it.
Simply click into the Title box & amend your text as necessary0 -
Ooops, sorry, knew I'd forgotten something!0

Follow and retweet comp for a chance of winning. Retweet any of their other tweets for additional entries.

Ok I'll sort it for you Edit: Sent to Dalkirst, thanks Dalkirst
There's some fab info in this thread on the main page. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1014121
To request a merge:
1 What do I do if I see a comp which has already expired / been posted on here? / How do I send a merge request to a Board Guide?
On any page of the Forum, towards the bottom right of the page under the list of comp threads, it says who the Board Guides (BGs) are for this forum. Below is the current list:
If you click that, a Private Message (PM) box will display & then all you need to do is put a title (eg Merge Request Please), then tell the BG what the Original Thread URL & the Dupe Thread URL is. (Highlight the URL of a thread in the bar at the top of the browser screen & right click > copy. Then click your mouse back into the PM box & right click > paste). You can ‘Preview Message’ to see how it will look, if you want, before you click to ‘Submit message’.
I used divadee for my example above. Please try to spread your requests across all the BGs so we don’t overload just 1 of them, as they are volunteers to help the board run smoothly & do want the time to enter & post some comps too!
Please also post on the duplicate comp thread that it is a dupe, include a link to the original thread & if you mention that you have sent a merge request to whichever BG you sent it to, then that will save others doing exactly the same thing & bombarding the poor BGs with multiple requests for the same thing.A strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0 -
