Does subway take the pee wee with their loyalty points?

I remember eyars ago subway used to give you a free sub after every 6 sub purchases. Which was a reasonable offer tbh.

Now they've introduced loyalty points.

You need 1000 points for a foot long sub. Each £1 spent gives you 10 points. So you need to spend £100 to get one free foot long sub.

Or 1 free foot long after 20 footlong purchases (from 6).

Are they taking the peewee?

I have to admit, before after I had 2 subs, I was compelled to go to subway again to get 6 more to get the freebie.

Now there is no incentive to go there at all. I'll collect the points IF I happen to go there. But I don't. too salty and too fatty.

They have always cut out their sub of the day and replaced it with a limited selection of subs which you can get, along with a drink, for £3.

Much poorer deal. I used to frequently go to the Subway in Fenchurch St but now don't bother any more. There are plenty of good independent food retailers in that area.

Wouldn't go anywhere near a Subway, both branches near me have 1 and 2 star food hygiene ratings. Not good enough.
