I am looking for chocolate syrup to use in smoothies. Tate & Lyle used to do one, but Tesco no longer stock it. I found some in Morrisons by Rowse but its a bit too thick. Does anyone know if an alternative?

Hershey's syrup is the best IMO. Available through Amazon or from several American food companies for about 3.95 for 24oz bottle or Ocado for 3.89 a bottle. HTH0

I love Hershey's or as a thinner alternative, try Monin chocolate syrup?0

Thank you for this - I will give these a try.0

It's pretty quick and easy (and more MSE) to make your own...which you can adjust to the thickness you want.

I was watching a cookery challenge programme yesterday and James Tanner made chocolate syrup by boiling sugar, water and cocoa powder (not hot chocolate powder) until it was reduced by half and then adding in some cream or evaporated milk - it looked lovely!Jane
