Much as I'd be all for keeping it seeing as it was his mistake, I'm actually with you on giving it all back (been there done that!)
Clean break, and it means that in a month/year/whatever he can't come chasing you for itWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
that £100 he stole from you
As the poster above pointed out, he stole nothing. The money in the joint account was as much his as hers. Even if he said he wouldn't use the joint funds for these purposes, he was fully entitled to change his mind legally-speaking.
Now, obviously that's not the same as sticking to his word, so there might be a case to withold some money, but important to understand the basis on which it's being done.
Personally, I'd just hand it back. The less interaction the better0 -
It's settled now. I've paid it all back so I can get him out of my life.
It's just very sad to think this was someone I thought I'd have a future with. Such is life....0 -
Unfortunately that's how it is sometimes
*hug*
Now it's time to get on with YOUR life :DWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -

Good for you.
Look at it as £100 paid to avoid a potential lifetime of stress and misery. Quite reasonable. It's always darkest before the dawn.

OP, I see you've paid it all back already. IMO worth it to be shot.
But in your position I would have sent him a cheque rather than do a bank transfer
- a week of the cheque is in the post
- the inconvenience for him to have to go and pay it in at a bank
- waiting 3-5 days for the funds to clear
But that's just me0 -

What 'unauthorised withdrawals'? His name was in the account.0 -
