Nationaide Credit Card

My dad had a county court summons for payment from Nationwide Credit Card. I paid what they asked for immediately from my internet bank account which I have done when I have made payments to Nationwide Credit Card in the past. However, today we have received a judgement in favour of the defendant stating that he has ignored the previous court summons and it says he now has to pay £50 a month otherwise they will seize goods.
Its as though Nationwide Credit Card are not communicating with the solicitors they have appointed because this court judgement does not even acknowledge the payment I have made to them which settled the amount they were asking for.

It takes a little time for the court to find out about payments which you make direct to the plaintiff, in this case Nationwide. When the court gets involved, it is often better to appear at the hearing & explain that you have already paid. Some judges will suspend the hearing to give the payment time to clear.
I suggest that you write to the court telling them that you have paid up & enclose copies of any evidence you have of the payment. Also you (or dad) should ring Nationwide credit card & ask them to confirm that they have their money. There may also be some court costs to pay.
This is friendly, not legal advice.
