Ebay: Private sellers 3 branded items to sell per month?

Have Ebay changed their policies recently? I tried to list a Baby Gap item last week and it said I had reached my listing limit of 'branded' items in a given month. When I rang them they said that it's a limit of 3 per month for private sellers, but I'm sure I've listed more than that in the past. It's a bit of a pain seeing as I mostly sell my children's old clothes, many of which are from Gap. I certainly won't be getting rich any time soon if I can only sell 3 a month! Is there any way around it?

As long as they are sold as used items or unbranded new things, maybe ebay are clamping down on the people who steal goods from highstreet shops that have all new tags on them, stolen goods people need to shift LOADS every month! they are snookered now unless registered as business seller.
and also the charity shop people ,and know folk who go into the sales in shops and get brand names items in bulk dirt cheap to resell for profit which is classed as being a business and you have to register and pay vat etc
if you had all new items with tags from Gap I suggest you return them for a refund or credit note or donate to a baby clothes charity as ebay have done that to everyone on selling loads of BNWT famous shop branded bits
one way round it is to sell in bulk/a bundle
or just state it is used but very good condition and add in the description it is brand new is the only way to get around ebays computerised system is fool it ! as it is not a person. and it only picks up keywords so dont add them
