Hi, we are looking to go on a long weekend break to Belfast and will be staying at the Premier Inn Titanic Quarter, other than the Titanic exhibition what else is there nearby to do, we are there 3/4 days so would love the chance to look around the area. We will be on public transport. Thanks in advance !!

The Ulster folk and transport musuem is a fab day out and you can get the train to Cultra station from belfast city (5 stops from the Titanic Quarter train station to Cultra or 10 minutes journey time). The folk part of the musuem consists of a traditional outdoor village with the buidlings reconstructed brick by brick. There are turf fires to sit beside in thatched cottages with staff baking, weaving display, staff in traditional costumes and a great cafe selling traditional food.

When we went for a smilar period, we hired a car for a couple of days and drove (with the sat Nav we hired) to the Giants causeway and went to Downpatrick on the second day as it worked out a lot cheaper than paying to do coach trips. The Down musuem is in an old gaol and was free entry. The teashop had lovely views. Both places had nice scenery on the way.

Not sure what days you are there but be aware that a lot of museums in NI are closed on Mondays - the folk and transport museum for one.0
