News reports indicating he has resigned his post as Labour MP....
Looks as if we had an MP with principles.
Shame. Possibly Labours only chance of a charasmatic, powerful leader.
They went for his nasally brother instead, and his scaley, slitherey sidekick Ed Balls.

I dont think he ever got over his brother being made leader. A man who must have received more than 10,000 wedgies during his school days and who still looks ripe for more.0

What a smart move. Best to watch his brother dynamite the UK economy from across the pond.
... or maybe its a cunning scheme and he will have a recovery plan in place for the UK for when it Ed truly ruins the UK economy.0 -
Maybe he's got inside knowledge of some of the tax changes to come and getting out before they bring in a mansion tax.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Or maybe the penny has finally dropped that no matter how hard you try and no matter how well intentioned, it is impossible to derail the juggernaut that is the British political system and all its injustices. No matter what you try, the rails will always take you in one direction and to the same destination. Better to jump off and take yer chances rather than wasting your life for the inevitable...0

It's called the civil service DSM, and cannot be escaped.
Permanent under secretaries rule the roost, ministers just drink the coco and sign what they are told to sign.0
