    Seem to remember getting some barley straw mats from the garden centre and dropping them in - worked really well. HTH cel x

    A good pump, barley straw, not feeding the fish more than they could eat at one sitting and removing BW every day worked for me.

    I noticed at Brixworth country park, in their sensory garden, there was a large pool and in the middle, an almost submerged bale of barley straw.

    Also, an old man who lives opposite and has had a pool for over 50 yrs, keeps a cane handy and does a sort of "candy floss twirl" in it every few days and lifts it out.
