Can any would advise me, 4 weeks ago i changed from npower to scottish power.
The date for my switchover was 25th of april, a few days before this i rang to ask where my new key was and was told it would take 3 days to arrive.
Well despite me ringing them a dozen times and being passed from one incompetent advisor to another i still don't have a key.
I am still buying my power from npower and now want to stay where i am.
What are the legal implications of this please?

By using your old key, n-power will recieve the money not SP. when you get your statements from SP you will be in debt and they may ask you to pay it.
What can be done is they will ask n-power for the money and transfer it into your account with SP, this is a common thing.
If they do send you a statement and your in debt you need to ensure they get the payments you paid with your npower key back from npower.
Always keep in mind that you should never be in debt or credit with a key meter, if you are then its up to the supplier to sort it out.0 -
If you have already agreed to come across to Scottish Power than once supply has changed companys, it will take 28 days to go back to your previous suppier. To be honest, if you havent got a card for the meter than pretty soonish your not going to have any energy supplied to you which should be an matter of emergency for Scottish Power.0
