PCN letter but I didn't get a ticket

Hi all

This morning I received a letter through the post for a PCN allegedly issued on the 1st Feb for not displaying a ticket.

However I never got a ticket stuck to my car windscreen. I do remember unloading the car before paying for my ticket so it is possible the warden saw the car in the 5 minutes it took to unload the car. But I didn't know I got a ticket because one wasn't stuck and now of course they are saying I didn't pay within the 14 days so have to pay the full £50.

What should I do? I don't even have my pay and display ticket anymore since I threw it away in the assumption it was no longer needed.
