When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Morning  didn't get any studying done last night as I was struck down with a migraine, got home, made lunch, put washing away and went straight to sleep! Will try and get some done tonight.

Not much to do today but need to post to keep on track:
  • Check bank
  • Update app
  • Start on Aprils budget (that came around quick!!- hopefully ill be getting a bonus in this months pay, around £600 extra to pay off debts!)
  • Lunch from home
  • Stay in at lunch
  • Drink lots of water
  • NSD - will be 3 in a row if I manage it
  • At least 1 hour studying tonight

dnms - once it's been confirmed they should pay it soon. But it depends where you bought from on how long it takes to confirm. My mobile phone contract took 4 months!! But worth it - got £70 cash back :)

Morning folks from a warmer but misty workshire :D - I love the bright mornings

Thanks to BT for starting us off, and hi to Determined - thanks for your words of encouragement yesterday - I am in a perm role, but so tired due to the commuting, college and full time hours. Re Quidco - what I tend to do is from a different PC go back to the retailer and look at the stat's - it nomally says there what the payment time is.

    On today's agenda :
    • Breakfast and dinner from stores - need to buy something cheap for lunch
    • Used railpass to get to work
    • Checked online banking - no change
    • Made a coffee for the journey to work
    • Read paper online and freebie paper on the train
    • Worked out next month's travel
    • Need to book a 1/2 day as I was invited for an interview in hometown this week (although not too sure about the role)
    • Work really hard
    • Need to work out my budget so I can be debt free by June (fingers and toes crossed)
    • Need to be very positive about my current role
    • Will be nice to my colleagues
    • Have an early night as I am not sleeping too well

    Have a great day everyone

    Goooooood morning!!

Well, I GOT THE JOB :j:j

Handed my notice in here yesterday, finish up on Friday, start my new job on Monday :j What a weight off my shoulders!!

In other news, nothing really :rotfl: Still on budget for the month, have some food to last us a few days.
DH is still using his e-cig and not touched a proper cigarette, that's been over 2 weeks!

I need to go clothes shopping this weekend, get some new stuff for my new job. Nothing much, just maybe a pair of trousers, some new tops. I 'think' they give you a fleece jacket to wear, so will probably wear that most of the time.

Also going to a family friend this weekend, she is going to be teaching me to knit. Hoping to use this to make some christmas presents (fingers crossed!)

Need to get a move on, so much to do before I finish up on Friday!

    x
Can't think of anything smart to put here...
