HSBC new account opening delays

Good morning peeps,

Has anyone else been experiencing delays in opening an HSBC bank account?

(Or is there anyone working in the Coventry service centre who can explain the delays?)

I applied for a bank account on 2nd April, I received a letter requesting I.D. a couple of weeks later, took it into the branch and heard nothing since. I called them up but CS just said they were busy... but they had received everything and there were no problems.

All I want is my salary away from sh*tibank ASAP.

Just a rant I guess, oh well, back to work!
