Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has actually been clamped at uwe uni because I received a ticket last week, which basically said if I didnt pay the fine within 7 days, my car would get clamped if found on any of the uwe car parks. Im not planning on paying the £20 fine but should I risk parking in the car park again?
Any help would be much appreciated

UWE = University of the West of England? If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

If they do clamp you they will be committing an offence under the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 which outlawed clamping of cars on private land except by those organisations with legal powers to clamp or remove vehicles e.g. Police, Government agencies and local authorities. I doubt that any university has been given the legal right to clamp vehicles. At a guess they are still using up old parking tickets printed before the Act came into force.
