Hi Folks
I`ve read a few of the posts on here regarding this company, so here is my case.
I recieved a parking ticket for parking in a disabled bay near to Boots on a retail park that is monitored by ukcps.
I parked there because it was the nearest to Boots, it was less than 3 weeks to Christmas and the car park was chocca. I had to take my wife to boots for her prescription and she couldn`t drive herself because she had had a hysterectomy about a week previous to this.
I had all the normal letters etc, but my claim form from UKCPS has now come from Northampton County Court.
I have enroled to Money Claim Online and asked to defend my case and asked for 28 days rather than the 14.
What do I do next folks.
Thanks
Stu

Did you get a popla registration number? What are your dates?
Whatever above get on over to pepipoo.com and ask on there. Do not answer any PM on either site from anyone with less than 500 posts. Do not give full details on forum and ask for help by pm.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

From the OP's post it doesn't look like they appealed at all. It doesn't mention it anyway.
This is yet another Haswell punt on a disabled bay incident.
He's getting quite fond of these.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Pm sent to the op.For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
As the blue badge rule does not legally apply to a private car park manned by a PPC then surely the OP's wife having just had a serious operation would have a good enough reason to use a disabled parking bay?I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

No it wouldn't. The law is changing in Scotland to make all Disabled parking enforceable (public and private). To avoid a fine, a Blue Badge is an absolute requirement. Stating there were issues with a passenger is simply too convenient, and would be pointless. I gather E&W is following but is a few years behind.
Nevertheless, Rather than use the space, the passenger should have been dropped off and then met up with when the vehicle was parked, the reverse on the conclusion of shopping.0 -

Not sure what you mean by 'off street'. Private land, or council car parks? The ramifications on both these types have already been debated and even the protections afforded for the appeals process planned.
The requirement to issue a valid fine is a tortuous one, and AIUI, Council Wardens (PA) will be authorised to issue fines on private property, however this requires the disabled spaces to be registered with the Council. What is clear is that PPC's are not being (at this stage) authorised to attempt any enforcement - whether disabled spaces, or elsewhere.0
