Orange Mobile Sim Card

hey

Just got myself a 2nd hand Nokia Orange phone.

I want to use my existing Vodafone Sim Card, but when this is in, the phone says "sim restricted".

Does anyone know how to unblock this restriction, or know of any codes / Web sites to achieve this.

thanks

Nokia ? Different models = different codes.
  • Do a thread search from the menu at the top of the forum for 'unlock mobile'. One of the posters in there will do it for free if you pm him (it's in his sig).

As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

Take a look on the Mobile part of the Telephones board. There is a thread about unlocking Nokias, that can point you to other websites, or people there will offer to help by PM.

You only get a limited number of tries at code unlocking and then have to use a hardware method, usually available in some shops and market traders. So read up a bit there to get the idea then ask.

The unlock code depends on the phone IMEI (its ID) and the network, not per model. You can find the IMEI on a label inside or by typing *#06#
