Flights to New Zealand - is anyone a frequent traveler

So we have our heart set on going to New Zealand for our honeymoon in Oct (London-Christchurch and then Auckland to London with a stopover somewhere - maybe singapore) We were waiting for my OH to pass his exams before booking, which he has now done :T

But the flights are now so expensive £1300:eek: when they were £800-£1000 before, does anyone have experience of booking fights like this, will they come down again or have I missed the boat

The cheapest time to travel is from April to June so flights will be more expensive in October but I have had a quick look for 14th October returning 28th and Singapore Airlines is indeed £1258, Emirates appear to have a sale with fares around £900 but the flight involves three changes and I am not sure you can get Singapore itself into the equation. October has school half term when flights can be busy, I do not know the dates you are looking for but if they include the end of October, you may not get much cheaper. If you look for the first two weeks in October, you might be able to get a better price
