Parking eye, I'm Fuming

I received a PCN yesterday and I'm fuming. I parked in Aldi last Saturday to do my shopping. I had to visit the bank first, however delayed due to other customers. I did my shopping afterwards and never though anything of it.
Then this arrived. Parking charge £70.00, however will be reduced to £40 if paid early. The show photo of my car going in and then going out, parking time 1hour 53 minutes. The photo of my car going in, has the sun shinning on it, so you can't see the number plate, however underneath in a little box it has my reg number.
I told one of my friends and her husband went into Aldi yesterday to speak to the manager. He advised that it has nothing to do with them. He advised that I do my weekly shopping here, however he didn't seem interested:mad:.
Not sure if I should pay this due the the sun shinning on the picture. I will also stop shopping at Aldi, due to the emparthy.
Please help me someone

You don't need to do anything but just ignore all correspondence from them- it is all lies, there is nothing they can or will do. It is just threats.0

It's happened to friends of mine too - they went in to see the manager and he said if they could provide a receipt to prove they had spent over £70 in the store he would 'see what he could do'!
They ignored the ticket and all further correspondence - the letters (about 3 altogether I think) get ever more threatening and desperate, so be prepared for this - but DO NOT PAY or enter into any correspondence with them. They get fed up eventually and find someone they can scare into coughing up.:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

The same happened to me last year when I parked at Lidl.
DON'T PAY. This is a private company. They have no right to enforce any charges whatsoever.
What I did at the time was just email them saying I'm not going to pay so don't bother wasting your time. You could do the same or just leave it.
Inevitably they'll send you more correspondences but just ignore them. Don't worry.0 -
Treat them with the same contempt you would reserve for an email from the Crown Prince of Nigeria asking you to send them a banking release fee so they can transfer £10 million into your account.
The letterchain for Parking Eye is here (LINK) so you can see the letters these clowns send out before they eventually give up and leave you alone.
I've moved this to the Parking sub-board0 -
Do not under any circumstances do the above, you should never bin any demands for money such as parking charge notices.
now onto the nitty gritty, the manager was talking out of his backside when he said its nothing to do with them (aldi) as they (aldi) are responsable for the actions of their agents.
Secondly you shpould also try and find the planning permision for this store from the local council, what does it say about parking?
One branch of Aldi ( or was it lidl??) got into a bit of hot water as by having a private parking company operating on their land placing parking restrictions upon them was in breach of planning rules for that store.
If you want to fight back then you should try and find out about the planning for that store.
you should also ask the manager to let you see the contract that exists between his store and parking eye, if he doesnt then tell him that you will be taking this matter further as parking eye do not have the authority to issue such notices/charges on that Aldi's car park.
As for dealing with Parlking eye, tell them that their charge is clearly a peanlty, and therefore un enforcable, and that you demand they send you a popla verification code.
As for popla you can bring up the no authority to make the charges type claim ( hopefuly someone else will fill you in on this )From the Plain Language Commission:

they have no justification, please read through the various threads/topics on here and find out more about what your dealing with before panicking. From the Plain Language Commission:

It's not a criminal court, just the small claims court. it won't go anywhere near a court. So you have nothing to worry about. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
