Apcoa Parking UK LTD ticket on hospital car park

My mother received a ticket in November from this firm and we followed previously given advice on here to ignore it as a private company, but she's now been contacted by a debt collection agency called Roxburghe? Other things I've read have said just contact Roxburghe, deny the debt and tell them to pass it back to Apcoa who have to deal with it.
Is that still the case, if not what else should we be doing?
Thanks for reading.

No, we only say that if Roxburghe phone you. We never say to waste your time actually contacting Roxburghe.
If you just get letters, simply play a game of snap against this thread, it will be the Graham White letters next as you will see:

Ignore the scammers. But if it was at a retail park or Supermarket then COMPLAIN to them.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok thank you, I'm having her dig out the notice so I can confirm exactly the details on it, but she is under the impression (she's a nurse) that the hospital car park is not council or policed land, and this is probably the case since it is going through Apcoa.0

You don't need to check. The fact the Roxburghe letter chain is in play tells you it's a fake private 'ticket'. Ignore it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've read a lot of the replies re: Roxburghe/ Apcoa and graham white solicitors being a scam but does the Change in Law from Oct 2012 re private parking now mean you do have to pay? Have they become legitimate?! Help!0

How about searching the forum? I wrote this months ago when people asked your question every flippin' day:

Every current thread on here tells you that these fake PCNs have NOT suddenly become enforceable just because the PPCs can aim their fake PCNs at registered keepers as well and drivers. So what? Just means two people can appeal or ignore rather than just the driver. The scam is the same.

You can do a number of things... Ignore, which is the preferred method... or a polite little letter stating "Im very sorry, I cannot take your letter seriously as it does not contain your VAT No: or Registration No:" - Reason.... License refused !!0 -

Has their licence been revoked/refused? My understanding is that it was still in the OfT's 'Minded to' category.
More up to date news???Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
