Debate House Prices

In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non MoneySaving matters are no longer permitted. This includes wider debates about general house prices, the economy and politics. As a result, we have taken the decision to keep this board permanently closed, but it remains viewable for users who may find some useful information in it. Thank you for your understanding.
We'd like to remind Forumites to please avoid political debate on the Forum. This is to keep it a safe and useful space for MoneySaving discussions. Threads that are - or become - political in nature may be removed in line with the Forum’s rules. Thank you for your understanding.
We're aware that some users are experiencing technical issues when trying to view threads. Our tech team is working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

In the wider interests of the forum. While politics influences the economy. The endless stream of repetitive posts is little more than drivel.

Without the endless stream of repetitive drivel this forum would be empty.

And both Hamish & GD would have post counts in single figures.

    What happened to self discipline?

Ignore them if you do not like them. Unless they contravene the Forum Rules the proposition is merely censorship. Not something that I believe any of us would want to be associated with.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

There's a word missing in the proposition. It should be 'party political'.

The problem lies with a handful of party political bores regurgitating the same old lines, over and over again.

I always thought that these types of forums were about freedom of speech where posters can post what they like.

You calling it drivel seems like you're bitter and don't like people posting things that aren't of your political agenda.

At least an oversupply of these threads should keep the prices down.

Why just pick on one poster? He's not the only one that writes drivel lol ;)
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
