G24 Contractual parking scandal!

Hello !
Here's my story, in short.. I was doing temporary promotion work over Valentines at the Peterlee Asda store, on my first shift I parked on the lower level (there is two floors), I was completely unaware that this was not part of the Asda carpark, even though Asda employees are roaming about collecting and stowing trolleys, large signs to the entrance of Asda, escalators etc.. Anyhow I recieved a letter yesterday dating from the 8th of Feb, saying I had overstayed my 180minute stay (stayed 336 minutes) and was due to pay a £40 fine that would rise too £60 if not paid in 14days, I have rang the store and told them my problem but i'm still waiting to hear back to see if they can wipe clean the parking charge, In the mean-while i've done my research too see if this G24 company can legally enforce parking charges.. Far as i've seen they are the same as 'Europark' (also recieved a parking charge from there a while ago, one letter sent off to them saying i wouldn't pay it and heard nothing back!). Should I just follow the string and ignore anything they send me with? Is there any possibility of them even taking this too court? Far as i'm aware this is just an 'unenforceable invoice' !
Thanks for any help!

G24 don't do court.
I'm assuming this was a free car park anyway? If P&D (or similar) then you strictly owe the landowner the cost of the P&D fees, however if it's free then the landowner has suffered no loss, and G24 have no claim over any £40 charge (they won't have called it a 'fine' if you look closely, and that's for a very good reason!).

G24 are a bunch of scammers. The MD is nothing short of a criminal.
I've ignored 2 of their demands. Many of their signs are against BPA rules. They conned Nominet in giving a fake address TWICE !
They are nothing but scum of the earth - they don't even have the guts to respond to my emails because they are a bunch of criminals !!!!
Ignore, ignore, and ignore again !All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
Anyone know a G24 carpark in Cambridge, Reading or Cardiff?0

Full charge £60
Reduced offer should be maximum of 60% of that = £36
Report them to BPA0 -

Interesting thought - why would losses be different in different FREE car parks ?
This example suggests £60 as the loss yet in Homebase in Hove the loss apparently is £100. Shows what a bunch of shysters G24 really are.All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
Well, I mean, it's Hove innit?Je Suis Cecil.0
