Decent Thermal Roller Blinds for Bay Window

Hi everyone!
I am in *despair*. We ordered some nice but cheap thermal blinds from Tesco (a new range they have out) for our bay and tried fitting them yesterday. We needed two 60cm and one 180cm one, all needed trimming which DH did really well. They looked ok actually apart from the horrible white plastic chains and fittings, etc.
The first blind went up really easily, easy to trim, etc. But came down wonky. Seems it had been cut badly at the factory. The huge blind also went up easily, but kept rolling itself down completely after it was halfway unrolled as if the material was too heavy for the (flimsy plastic) fittings.
THREE HOURS OF OUR LIVES WE CAN NEVER GET BACK! *weeps*
And so my husband has said that I can spend a bit more on decent quality ones this time, but I'm not sure where to start, online would be best, with a good returns policy
We don't want to spend too much but fancy something with something other than the white plastic fittings/chains. I always went a bit lightheaded in the upholstery departments as a kid and so as a grown up I feel a bit lost.
I have had a look at the Argos ones but fear they could be the same manufacturer as the Tesco ones.
Can anyone recommend anywhere please? We would need to be able to trim them ourselves to fit.
Thanks in advance.
