AArrrgggh Ebay buyers

So 4 items listed on ebay sold this morning - very nice thankyou. All parcelled up and ready to post for the morning BUT not one of them have paid yet!!! .... last minute bidders so wasnt as if it was bids placed yesterday etc,

I know when I bid and win anything the first thing i do is click through to pay.

Have sent invoices but still nothing - so guess who isnt getting nice little parcels posted off tomorrow.

Thank you for reading - rant over - goodnight all !

If they were last minute bidding is more likely they were absent snipe bids, so you might get some paying later today or tomorrow.

It is frustrating, but not unusual for people to take a few days to pay and it can mean a lot of trips to the PO in order to stay within your dispatch times, so try not to stress too much about it.

  • I never parcel mine up until they've paid as so many just don't pay its ridiculous I end up wasting loads of packaging

No neither do I. I still get a calculable amount of non layers who never pay and I prefer my stock to stay safely in storage until wrapping, I am so muddle headed if I wrapped it i'd forget which box was which and then put them somewhere safe and lose them.

Also, no posting address until PayPal paid anyway.

I don't quite follow why that is important ? I do not expect my users to acknowledge receipt, I just assume they would tell me soon enough if items hadn't arrived.

Even with positive feedback from the buyer, I still wait 45 days before withdrawing any significant amount of money..am I getting paranoid too?

    Oh yes :D

My PayPal account is cleared every night, if I worried about chargebacks I'd never sell a thing again.

I'm finding less and less people pay immediately - I suppose they are doing other things and don't think to check their eBay account.

However, I've found the majority pay within 48 hours, so it usually turns out ok

I always pay immediately, unfortunately many buyers don't. Three and four days seems to be the norm nowadays but I usually leave it for a week before chasing up.
