Credit card company confusing me about Lifestyle Claims & Lifestyle Money!

Hi, we are one of the people caught out by 'lifestyle Claims' who contacted us last April to tell us all about the wonderful money we could claim back from PPI :)Sadly, after taking nearly £360 from our credit card NOTHING has come of it. Then just to confuse matters all the paperwork arrived with 'Lifestyle Money' on the letterhead after speaking on the telephone to 'Lifestyle Claims!'
Just to be sure we checked our credit card statement and the money was indeed taken by 'Lifestyle Claims'.
We now know by reading other threads in the Forum that 'Lifestyle Claims' is in administration but that 'Lifestyle Money are not (yet).
We contacted Virgin and asked to file a Section 75 claim to get our £360 refunded but they are saying that as our paperworks says 'Lifestyle Money' and they are not in administration we can't claim anything back yet.
I don't understand how on our statement it clearly shows that 'Lifestyle Claims' took the payment and the credit card company then disputes this?
HELP we are soooooo confused. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you deal with it? Are we being fobbed off by Virgin or is this a normal situation?

    They are fobbing you off.
They are jointly responsible with 'Money' and the fact that 'Money' is not in administration is irrelevant.
However, I think it is reasonable to expect that you claim the refund from 'Money' first and only if they refuse you claim it from Virgin under s.75.

ETA: I think you might need some proof that the money was taken by 'Claims' on behalf of 'Money', but Virgin seem to not question this.

Quite ironic how people turn back to the credit card co to claim money back, from a company they were going to employ to claim money from the credit co.....

I think the claim should be rejected on these grounds alone:rotfl:

Gotta love the fact that this site promotes FREE claim of misssold products, yet people still pay for it :o

Yeah, hardly a case of 'shock horror' that they threw it out :D

Mind you, at least my blood isn't boiling like it did 4-5 years ago with all the people 'celebrating' their over limit/late payment fees and getting huge sums. If I had been awarded £2k I'd have been embarrassed to tell anyone I had ever previously been that much of a financially unreliable person.
