Tradeinn trekinn
Mse users beware and avoid the above company which also has trading name of trekinn and is based in Spain.
I purchased a deuter rucksack in June 2012 paid by visa the strap broke and I sent it back in November 2012 and still haven't received a replacement. The above company has a customer service phone number that I've rung at least a dozen times and they've never answered.Ive sent numerous emails some answered some ignored . The final insult was when they emailed me saying that I would have a replacement on 7/1/2013 . Still nothing they then tried to say that the product was with deuter being repaired. I contacted deuter direct and they have been brilliant they have promised to send me a new one asap and have offered me compensation but not stated what thus far . My point is can I under the consumer credit act sue for want of a better word trekinn as they are awful and the worst customer service I've ever experienced .
Please beware and avoid them and advice appreciated please

Bit confused as to what advice you want? How much did the product cost? If it was over £100 (which would be ridiculous for a rucksack imho, but never mind) then s75 may apply if you end up out of pocket (no product etc) but it just seems as though you're experiencing terrible customer service, so that's not really a credit card issue.
Sounds like deuter are going above and beyond by offering compensation, since it's Trekkin who you have a contract with, so good on them if they follow through.
If you could sue a company for poor customer service, Santander wouldn't be trading any more.0 -
Your credit card provider has got nothing to do with your current situation.....0

My point is that I've no issue with deuter the company who produce the rucksack but trekinn who sell it. They haven't delivered a proper service and to keep a rucksack for 4 months without replacement isn't
Acceptab0 -
No....sorry...does not apply to your situation. That may not be what you want to hear, but unfortunately your only solution is with the manufacturer.0

You did not have any delivery problems....you received your order on time....your order was complete when delivered. It's not the cc fault if there are issues with product or company 4 months down the line. The cc company will not accept your claim and they would be too right to do that...0

I would thank Deuter for helping you out, and move on. Don't waste anymore time with 'trekking' and never use them again.
Be happy in that your post may deter people from using their services. As a keen mountain walker myself, I will stay clear of them.0 -
The product did not cost more than £100 so S75 protection does not come into this.0

Hi I've posted this elsewhere on this site but I think it's worth repeating here.
Tradeinn are terrible. Their prices are usually reasonable but their service is very iffy ...typically Spanish...if they feel like taking a few days off for a fiesta your order will wait - even if you've paid express delivery - mañana...
What's worse is that you're then on their email list - and you just try getting off it! Clicking the link to un-subscribe will do no good at all...for evermore you will be bombarded with emails with "inn" as part of the name "snowinn" "outletinn" "motoinn" (I think they make most of them up to annoy people...it's pure spam)
Buy of somewhere like Amazon...maybe a bit dearer but Amazon is spam-free. With a bit of luck, given Spain's fiscal problems, this company may soon be fail-inn (Ouch! Sorry)0 -

This advice is wrong. As with any purchase your contract is with the retailer.
You should be able to very easily and simple issue a credit card chargeback for the item and I guarantee you will get a full refund with very little hassle.
Read the credit card chargeback area of the MSE site for more info.0
