  • Could you make do with a couple of plastic ones this year? You're more likely to get a second hand one later on.
  • build one out of plastic bottles, the local school has one and it looks great. Will be my next project when my greenhouse gives up.
If your buying i wouldn't recommend the polycarbonate ones, ours is already cracking and splitting and i've only had it 18mths.

Can you negotiate a "stay of execution" until Autumn? This is probably the most expensive time of the year to buy a new one (together with Spring). If you can wait until end of the growing season, you'll probably get a real bargain.

This is helpful info. I want to buy a greenhouse, but can wait until the cheapest time of the year. (In other news, I was hopeful that this was Spring! Still a few weeks to go, I suppose.)

I have just bought a greenhouse and the one I was looking at was the same price everywhere I looked but some had free delivery and some had not. Another thing to look out for is that you can buy staging and shelves as extra in a bundle and the savings can be quite big compared to buying it separately. Just something to look out for.
