collection agency unable to provide original agreement - what next?

I got heavily in credit card debt when i was trying to save my business in 2009. I still have four debts totalling circa 25K all of which are with collection agencies and have been getting a minimum monthly payment of between £1-£10 each month for about 2 years now. I received letters from 2 new collection agencies (MKDP and Drysdenfairfax) saying they had bought two of the debts some months ago and wanted a payment plan. As i was not aware of this and had continued to make minimum payments (to previous collection agencies) on these debts i asked them to send me a copy of the original credit agreement (template from here) and details of when they had taken over the debt. Both have written to me saying they do not have that info at the moment and are liaising with the original lender.
Should i continue sending minimum payments to these new companies for these debts.?
My business is no better and i cannot afford to make any offers to clear these credit card debts at the moment.
Any advice much appreciated...

What did the letters from the DCAs state? often debt collectors will include in that type of letter that they will suspend collection activity until they can obtain copies of the agreements, or even that they understand the debt is unenforceable until they provide those documents.
You could suspend payments until you hear from them further.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
they have now just sent me a reconstituted credit agreement - 3 sheets of terms and conditions with my current address typed (even though i have moved 5 times since agreement was dated) , there is nothing with my signature on it. They say this satisfied their obligation to provide info and ask how i will repay debt. what do i do now - any suggestions?0

What date was this taken out? Before or after April 2007?
They have clearly not met the CCA request as it is not a true reconstituted copy.:beer:0 -
yes if the card were pre 2007 then its not good enough after 2007 then it is enough. but it has to be the terms at the time of issue.0
