Hi,
Ive never bought my groceries online before, but due to a change of job this would now prove very useful. Which has the cheapest delivery charges? Ive heard that you dont have to pay if youre happy to receive them at a pre-agreed 3 hour window, but you do have to pay if you want a specific time. Im happy with the former.
Thanks

For the one's I have personal experience with, Waitrose is free for orders over £50. Tesco is between £3-6, depending on the 2-hour slot you pick. Sainsburys is between £2.95-5.95 and offer 1-hour slots + free delivery for orders over £100 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.0

Well the Del fee at Sainsburys To You ranges from £2.95 to £5.95 which are dependant on what time slot you want it delivered for.
They also have free Del on certain days if you spend over £100.
Not sure who implements the last part of your question but I know sainsburys dont.
If your next question is who is the best to order from, well thats not easy to answer as its personal preference.
I know if you get offered a sub eg if an item you ordered is out of stock ou dont pay any extra (eg you pay the price of the item you originally ordered) if you order from Tesco whereas with Sainsburys you pay the price of the sub.
Its all swings and roundabouts really. There are many a thread on here with regards to online grocery delivery.0 -
Best - Ocado hands down
Cheapest delivery charge - Waitrose free at any time on orders over $50 and some others have offers such as free delivery on orders over $100 or free delivery if very early or very late slots. Think milkandmore does free delivery too.
If you choose own shopping in Iceland and it comes to more than $25 they will deliver free of charge.
Some local Costcutter shops deliver (mine does free delivery on orders over $35 and can phone in order with debit card).
Suggest www.mysupermarket.co.uk to see which supermarkets save you most money on what you buy. If you save $2 on offers and pay $6 on delivery you have saved nothing though, whereas if you saved $1 and got free delivery you have saved $10 -
Hi there, there are usually discount codes and offers for 'new customers only' so search round here for first- time offers and have a go of them all see which suits you best, and how much you spend etc.
At first it will seem like it takes ages to set up accounts and navigate but after a few times it's easy.
I've tried them all, only asda was disappointing I wouldnt touch them with a barge pole but that's cos I've had 3 consecutive issues.
Ocado I have a delivery pass for now as it was too good to refuse the offer it worked out at 3.00 per month delivery costs. I also like it because of the choice of healthy foods wheat free etc. and hardly every have stuff missing.0 -

That was a really good offer £3/ month
I only occasonally order with Ocado (when they send a discount coupon), but the last 2 orders I've had from them have arrived VERY early (more than an hour), this was very inconvenient as I was half way through sorting some stuff out.
I know I could have told the driver to come back later, but when he's stood there with all the shopping on the doorstep, it's not easy.
There were also a couple of damaged items - I phoned and they refunded w/o problem - but overall, was not impressed.
At least with Tescos, they'll usually refund the delivery, if it's way out of time.

Asda have a great system for refunding any damaged, short dated or wrong items, you just log into the account tick the boxes and the refund is automatic. I get free tenderstem broccoli every time, I order purple sprouting and it is always wrong.
Was not impressed by their handling when I had a missed order tho - driver got lost and went back to store, took HOURS and many lengthy phone calls to determine I wasn't actually going to get any shopping, never did get the promised vouchers. :mad:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
