Grants for studying in Wales

Does anybody know anything about a grant for doing Primary Teacher Training in Wales? I'm not sure if there is such thing, or not.

Do you mean the three year undergraduate course? I know someone who's doing it now and he does get a grant but it's not because he's doing that course! If you're welsh you are able to get a Welsh assembly learning grant which is £1500 a year. However it is income dependent and you only get the full amount if you have a very low income. My friend gets the full amount as he went back a mature student so if you're doing that you can get it however you could get it whatever course you did.

Otherwise I know you don't have to pay fees for Primary Teacher Training Courses in Wales but there's no other grants available.

If you're talking about a PGCE primary 1 year course then again there's no fees and you get a training grant of £6000 whilst studying but I think you get that in England too.
