Afternoon all,
I have a payday loan debt that has been passed over to Motormile finance, I don't dispute the debt but have written to Motormile offering £40 a month and have had no reply. Had the usual stream of e-mails threatinging legal action doorstep collectors etc etc.
I have today had the following e-mail from them,
"Formal NOTICE OF LEGAL ACTION: unless we hear from you within 7 days on 01138876876. We will rely upon this SMS when legal costs arise. MMF Refxxxxx"
You can see what a bunch of clowns Motormile are as they e-mail me and say its a sms that they have sent
I will again write and e-mail them with my offer of £40 per month, however is the above e-mail sufficient notice of legal action, could I use the fact I have made an offer of payment as a defence if this goes to court ?

why dont you call them? personally when dealing with companies for whatever reason, i find the quickest and easiest way is to speak to someone over the phone.
Think of how many emails they must get in a day. By the sounds of it the situation sounds urgent, but do you think they really care, your email could be at the bottom of the pile.
Phone them up, set up a dd. atleast you will then have piece of mind that it has been sorted there and then.Trainee Building Surveyor

Because they can always deny you called.
Keep it ALL to email or good old letters.
