Co op Voucher

Hi, does anyone shop at the Co op nowdays? I received a £2 off a £10 spend and as their prices are so high, im having problems spending it. Theres only myself, and ive been on there website and apart from a few half price or BOGOfs they have (which arnt very healthy) i cannot justify spending the voucher. All the products on offer are still cheaper elsewhere. So even if i use the voucher im really not saving anything as the £2 i may save i would save in other supermarkets anyway buying the same products cheaper!!

  • I check the reduced stuff regularly, if you get lucky with reductions then spending a tenner is possible other times it will just be a penny off each item or all junk food though so lots of vouchers I receive (dispensed by the cashpoint outside the co-op) go unused.
  • My nearest decent sized Co-op supermarket is in the next town so I don't get in on a regular basis. However, when I do pop in I always find decent reductions in the chiller cabinets. Always marked down to half price and later in the day they bring the price down even further. My freezer is quite well stocked with reduced chicken, fish, meat courtesy of the Co-op! £2 off a £10 spend would be very useful to me!

they often have good prices on loo /kitchen rolls.Just buy £10 worth of them...Otherwise leave the voucher on a prominent shelf in Co op or give to someone with a full basket..and get a feel good factor instead...although judging by your name..that might not work for you.

The voucher i have is linked to my Co op dividend card, which i need to hand to the cashier to use the voucher. Loo rolls are cheaper elsewhere and so is kitchen roll, i can get 3 very good quality kitchen rolls for £1, so i wont be saving money buying them from the co op, even with £2 off.
  • If your divi card number doesn't match the number on the voucher they can just override it on the till- I've had it when I got a replacement card but my profit vouchers were in the old number. They get a message on the screen alerting them to the mismatch but they just tap 'ok' and input the voucher anyway :)

If you just walk around the shop you can always find something that is just as cheap in the coop.

Treat yourself to a bottle of wine, always some under a fiver. Buy another one for a birthday present and put it away till then.
Couple of bars of chocolate and Bobs your uncle.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • toilet roll 9 pack for £2.76 at the moment
princes tuna 4x185g £3 this weekend (the smaller 4x160g is £4 in asda)
2 for £7 on meat (like whole chickens, mince etc..)
    thirst pockets 2pk for 99p
    typhoo tea 160s for £1.99

    Here's a link for the Co-op special offers http://www.co-operativefood.co.uk/deals/shopping-list/all-deals/
Generally, I can always find something worth getting :o. On the current offers, my shopping list is Baileys, beer, wine .....;) Oh and I may throw in some Comfort, Typhoo, tissues, Robinsons, Shreddies and Cup a Soups (just to balance things out you understand:)) So if you don't want the voucher, I can always make use....!:D

Oh, and of course as many good reductions as I can get my mitts on :D

I can't remember the brand as I was trying to avoid being tempted, but I noticed some boxes of chocolates with a good reduction on them the other day. I think about 75% off. Maybe short dated though I didn't look. If I had picked the box up it would have jumped into my basket!!
