If my mother gave me gifts of cash for £5,000 and a cheque for £5,000 (total £10,000) in 2007 but gave no gifts in either 2006 or 2008 how is this declared on the above form?
Can any unused annual exemption (i.e. £3,000 exemption from 2006) be carried over to 2007 making a total exemption of £6,000?
Also, can the £3,000 exemption from 2008 be used in any way for the gifts in 2007?
Hope this makes sense. Thanks
