Ebay search terms not working - is it me?!

For the past week or so I can't refine my Ebay searches; the sections where you can choose new/used/UK only etc. just don't work when I click on them.

Any ideas? I know Ebay is constantly faffing around with, er sorry improving (;)) the site so could it be a glitch?

  • ebay and paypal are both very glitchy the last week or so.

give it a few days and see if it works again. i bought something earlier and was getting an error when i tried to check out, now it works fine.

    May be your browser..?

Ebay have implimented a new search system in some areas, it appears to be on a trial basis and another of their disasters.

My search has now reverted back to the old system and I can now access and search normally. Couldn't even log on with the trial ongoing.
  • I'm still having trouble; if it is a browser problem what do I do?

    Use a different browser.

Internet explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and many more to choose from.

Got an example of what is not working?

  • I'm using Internet Explorer at the mo' - and always have done as far as I know (Luddite I'm afraid!)

None of the specific search options work; I used to click on UK only/used items but now I can't filter out the millions of Chinese listings.

It works well for me, except that the results are still all over th eplace (as I mentioned a few weeks back)

I can do a search with three keywords and get say 5000 results, I reduce that search by limiting it to say free postage and the number of returned items increases- that is nonsense.

I can also search once and get virtually no returns, just a few hundred, then 5 minutes later the same search with the same criteria shows thousands and thosands of results.

I wish ebay would sort out some of its glitches.

  • Just an update - everything seems to be working again now when I logged in this morning; I can actually filter the search results!

Mind you, I keep getting a little pop up box asking for my postcode..........aww well I can live with that for a while.

    Stop fiddling about Ebay!
