Where to get plus size fitness and hiking clothing?

I've very luckily managed to get a free place on a week long army style boot camp - in return for doing media work, blogging about it.

BUT

I have a ton of kit to buy on a budget of about £250

Walking boots in a wide fitting size 7
trainers
shorts
at least 2 pairs of walking trousers
gym kit - tops and trousers
several tshirts
fleece
waterproofs
walking socks
sports bra's

etc.....

I'm currently a uk size 24 on my bottom half and a 22 on the top and a bra size 42B

I'm going to have a look at mens walking boots as they may be a naturally wider fit and the same with the trainers.

If anyone knows of any great outdoor walking places that sell trousers in my size please let me know as that's where i'm really struggling.

Personally, I would probably go high street for most of your "kit" - t-shirts, joggers (both for gym kit), fleece,
trainers - actually I'd probably venture to Sports Direct first, as I think it's always better to try on before buying as although it may say it's one size, you need the fit to be right IYSWIM.

For gym gear try here:

For general walking gear, t-shirts, fleeces try:
http://www.ullapopken.co.uk - I use them for all my skiwear and outdoor fleeces and jackets

If you've got time to wait for delivery from the US try:
http://www.junonia.com or look on eBay for Danskin (you'd fit perfectly in a 2X) which is great gymwear.

I've got wide feet too and find that Merrell shoes and boots fit well and have much better support than trainers.

Cotton Traders have a decent range of the more outdoorsy kind of stuff in bigger sizes so it might be worth trying there. A lot of their womens clothing go up to a size 26 or so and I got a mens waterproof coat from there that fitted me and I'm bigger than that. Hope you get sorted out

You can get a sports bra on Ebay for upwards of £5 (incl P&P)

I got my walking boots from Aldi, I think they were mens but they were a wide fit so they suit me fine. I didn't expect much for the price I paid for them but they've seen me through two winters so far and still going strong.
