We did it another way. The thought of having our home disrupted like that with our daughter (31) and son (7) wanting to come back home 'because it was too expensive to make their own way in life' filled us with dread.
We found her a nearly new 2 bed semi for rent just round the corner, and paid the deposit and 1st month rent for her. We will get the deposit back sometime in the future when she can do it on her own. With all of the benefits that we organised for her she was able to afford the place.
She too works p/t and has an income of approx £300 a week all in + we had the father of our grandson forced to cough up another £100 a week for her.
Making things too easy will get you nowhere.0
