Proof Of Postage

I was just wondering if there was another way of getting proof of postage other than waiting in the queue at the post office and then getting pouty looks for wasting their time?
I have a lot of stamps at home so have started using them, but I was recently told they no longer have those pads where you write addresses and names on and they stamp it for you. Is that correct?

you can print the form and fill it in yourself, then all the post office do is check and stamp it.

You will still need to queue up though and get it stamped unless you can persuade the PO to let you jump the queueI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
