Boosting Shower Performance

Hi All,
In my new house we have just installed a new mixer shower. The performance is pretty poor so I have been looking for a booster pump.
while having a google i stumbled upon this
http://www.bhl.co.uk/product/GRUNDFOS_UPA_1590_HOME_BOOST_CENTRAL_HEATING_PUMP
Now, the reason i'm posting is because i'm almost certain I saw this in my airing cupboard yesterday. I thought it was to do with the water temp.
If i do have this then i can only assume it isn't working. Can anyone tell me how I can find out?
Thanks

Mixer showers vary so you could consider try a mixer with a better flow rate. When I look best were Aqualisa.
Are you sure the pump in your airing cupboard isn't for the central heating? That's where my CH pump is and looks identical to your link.0 -
ah, it could be then. I read that the pump increases shower flow rate. I guess it can be used for C/H also?kicking squealing gucci little piggy.0

That's a standard CH pump-nothing to do with your shower.
You can fit a shower pump if you have a tank hot and cold supplied shower-not from a mains fed shower on a combi boiler set up. One of these, with a twin impeller:

Before you fit a pump try changing the shower head. I had a new mixer shower installed and the performance was much worse than the old one. I was going to get a pump installed but I thougth I would try a new showerhead and it was so much better that I didn't bother with a pump.
The showerhead I bought was the Grohe Euphoria.0 -
The pump you have found will be a 15/50 or a 15/60 which are central heating circulators. It will not be (or should not be) the 15/90. Post a picture of all the pipework in that vicinity as well as the pump and I or someone else will tell you.
If you are going to pump your shower to increase flow rate then you need a proper shower pump if your system is open vented. However, need to know the system configuration you have in your house for definite to make the appropriate recommendations. The picture requested will help do that.
