Hi,
Can anyone tell me what a "normal" CO reading would be in a room with a gas fire on.
Thanks

Mine has always read zero0

my alarm reads zero ,
world health organisation guidelines- 100 mg/m3 (87 ppm) for 15 min
- 60 mg/m3 (52 ppm) for 30 min
- 30 mg/m3 (26 ppm) for 1 h
- 10 mg/m3 (9 ppm) for 8 h

Should be zero. If there is any carbon monoxide produced then there is a dangerous problem with the combustion. Only carbon dioxide should be produced by a correctly functioning gas fire.0

It should be zero although the alarms take an average over a period of time. If the average rises beyond what is regarded as the safe limit, the alarm sounds. I have had one go off once in a caravan when the flue for the gas fridge got knocked off. Well worth having, in my opinion.0
