I saw more than one male of the species.hannerrbabes wrote: »Indeed! I saw a man come out of there with 4 big bags full of goodies!
I had an inward glow of proudness on their behalf. Good on the blokes baging a bargain.0 -
Wow..what a killjoy! Just cos that's your reality - doesn't make it mine.
People don't buy it at £10 because they don't want to, stop judging them for deciding to buy at £2.50. I don't drink alcohol but I don't think others are stupid because they do....why do you have to be so critical of others ( The phrase get a life comes to mind)
What's with the dig at the value of the present by the way? Using the Boots sale to give someone a present you can't normally afford is the epitomy of Money Saving Expert, it's called smart spending and you might want to rethink your comments if you even bothered to read this.
Possibly you're just a little bit miffed at the tat you got for Xmas and just wish you knew some people who budgeted smarter and could give you something a bit special, try being nice to people and Santa might be more generous next year.0 -
1. it was dangerous enough without MSE encouraging people to violence.
2. Men were there too - so why weren't the MSE men? My husband went as I couldn't, just as he has for the last 5 years.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Love the maths on the blog. Completely forgetting that all the gifts were in the 3 for 2, so would have had 1/3 knocked off the price before any sale. Thats a 33% discount, so a £10 item costs £6.66. In the 75% off sale it costs £2.50, a saving of £4.16, in reality a 62.5% saving.
If you bought 3 £10 gifts before xmas, they would have cost £20, in the 75% off sale £7.50. So, not bad, but not as good as you think.0 -

I saw 2 ladies come out of the store as I went in with practically all the gift sets that were available! Soooo annoying.0 -
