Community Pay Day/Northern Debt Recovery/CCCS

Hi guys. First of all, I'd like to apologize if this is in the wrong thread, and secondly, I've been a long-time reader of these forums - great advice.
And now, to the matter at hand.
After many years of being involved with the wrong people/family issues/personal problems/depression, I managed to get myself up the proverbial creek without a paddle with Payday Loan companies.
I have now set up a DMP with the CCCS, which is now activated as of today (15th Jan) and will be ready to inform the creditors.
However, I've read a few horror stories in regards to Northern Debt Recovery. So would like some advice on them if possible (i've seen so many threads about them, I'm getting confused)
I have sent them an email in regards to the CCCS will now be arranging a payment plan with them. However, they can reject this?
Before the DMP was set up, I advised that I was unable to make the payment date of the 8th and that I would be able to arrange the 28th - however, I have now found that enough is enough, and need to set up the DMP. , and I received this, at the time:
This is an AUTOMATED EMAIL.
I am writing to confirm your conversation with one of our agents OR debt collection agencies regarding your Community Pay Day*** and your agreement to pay:
28.01.13 - £655.00
Total payment of £655.00 to be paid by 28.01.13 to close this loan
This agreement has been noted on your permanent file.
PLEASE NOTE:
If YOU fail to HONOUR this agreement, and pay as agreed, our systems will AUTOMATICALLY take the following actions:
1. FULL fees and charges will be added to your account.
2. Full interest will be added retrospectively.
3. An application will be made to the courts for a County Court Judgement to be registered against your name, an application will then be made for a Warrant of Execution to either seize goods and/or ob tain an attachment of earnings / benefits. Bailiffs may be instructed.
This should be taken seriously. It is ESSENTIAL you honour the agreement you made
Yours sincerely,

Hi
I don't think NDR particularly have a worse reputation than other debt collection agents.
Not all creditors will necessarily formally accept your offer of payments under your DMP. But as you cannot keep up with payments then entering a DMP is a good way to tackle your debts. Leave it to CCCS to deal with them. Do not allow them to harrass you in to paying more outside of the DMP, best not to speak to them by phone at all.
Its unlikely that they will actually take court action for that level of debt and when you are on a DMP with a charity, though not impossible. I wouldn't worry about it unless you receive court papers at any time from one of your creditors. If you did receive court papers then I would post on the debt free wannabe section at that time for advice on completing them.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
