I try to spend around £5, even now and DD is 10, I tend to get stuff in sales if it was priced £8 reduced to £3 then i won't add anything to it, - even cash £5 seems to be standard for the parents at our school.
Cards - cheap ones from Card factory, xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I tend to spend between £5 - £10 in total, depending on how close the friend is. Does that help?:)0

Ideally spend under a fiver (since we have about 25 parties this year!!) but we 'bulk buy' a few things when we see something nice on sale0

I have a stash of MB Operation and Buckaroo up the loft.
Tesco had them on a bogoff and 3 for 2 deal at same time.
Fear some kids have now had the same present from me twice

It was my step sons 10th birthday party last weekend and all the kids gave him £5, one a £5 Toys r us giftcard! Now we don't expect to receive any presents and I was a little surprise at how much miney he ended up with.:(
I normally buy present between the value of £3-7Turning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!0 -
I have in the past put £10 in a childs card, as he is someone that my son actually plays with and speaks about a lot. But for my sons party he got gifts varying from a Lego book for £2.99 which was his favourite gift, to a new 3d connect four type game.0

39p:eek: Seriously?! I don't expect anyone to give my daughter a pressie. A homemade card is always thoughtful. I think I would be a little insulted if someone clearly went and spent 39p though. Last birthday we asked for people to donate the money they would have spent on a present, to a children's charity.0

I usually stock up with kids presents at this time of year when places like acessorize are doing 1/2 price sale (and of course I'll be a Boots at 9am tomorrow lol). I try to buy something that would have cost £8-£10 for £4-£5. DD is 6I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be0
