Structural Work - Idea on price?

Hi,
I had a structural engineer look at a house I am about to purchase and he made the following recommendations;
1. Remove the brickwork over the door and window using suitable props and remove the existing outer
leaf lintel and replace with a Catnic CN49C lintel with 150mm bearing each end.
2. Request specialist wall tie contractor, eg Dampcure telephone 01432 264225, to inspect and locate the
existing wall ties using locating instrument. Install new wall ties to current accepted standard spacing
as recommended by specialist contractor.
3. Rake out the mortar joints on the whole of the rear elevation to a depth of 40mm and re-point with a
suitable cement mortar and red sand as near match to the existing as possible.
4. Install 5No lateral restraint tie/bulging wall restraint by Twistfix between rear wall and 1st floor joists
as manufacturer’s instructions (see attached sheet at £169.00).
5. Install 3No Brick Pin Fixings by Twistfix between external wall and party wall and external wall and
dividing wall between bedrooms (see attached sheet at £159.50).
6. Install 5No 35x5mm GMS holding down straps to wallplate down inside of rear wall.
7. Remove plaster internally for at least 450mm either side of all cracks. Rake out cracks and repoint.
Rake out bed joints and install 4mm diameter threaded bar or twisted bar across the crack 900mm long
and mortar in - bars at 225mm centres. Replaster with exmet in the plaster.
It is a 3 bedroom end of terrace house, can anyone give me a rough idea on how much the repairs are likely to cost? I will get a builder to give me a quote next week but want to get a rough figure in my head.

Why not just phone a builder and ask for a quotation.
Builders know they may or may not get the job, so even if you never contact him again, use his knowledge to get a price.
Try two builders if you want, to see if their prices are at least similar.
The Federation of Master Builders I think can provide lists of local builders, when you look on their website.0
