Is this a secure way to keep a paper trail as i dont want them to know my address. I fully intend to pay everything off but I was thinking its better and im less likely to be bombarded by post if i email them??? what do you think??
I was thinking if they then offered me a settlement discount i would have it there in black and white via email??
I have recently moved and Actually I like not having the stress of loads of letters, they get me very VERY depressed!! I just can cope with loads of red post at the moment and i feel more in control by email, like Im the one in control and not the Debt companies.
thanks guys. xx

Who are you dealing with?
I find some companies wont even respond to an email. Its hard work, I am the same they keep sending letters to my parents address no matter how many times ive told them I moved out over 2 years ago...
Anyhow...
I wish you the best of luck with the email, I have now resorted to sending things recorded delivery!

Email, by definition in the RFC, does not allow you to prove that it was sent (and received) to the same standards as you can for normal letters. It is also far too easy to edit an email to state what you want - or even spoof an email to come from a completely different email address.
I would suggest that email is only appropriate for basic discussions (like phone calls), but have anything finalized on a letter from the company before making any payments, etc.0
