Bay Windows Quote

Hi,
I was just after some advice regarding a window quote, we have had a quote from EuroSeal for 2x bay windows (10 Panes at the Bottom) (10 Smaller Panes at the Top). The quote came to £5600 which amounts to £7725.60 total with credit and this is with Grade A rating, the windows are life time guarantee whilst we live in the house but 10 years from purchase if we moved.
Can someone please tell us if this quote is expensive and if we should not go with this, I have been told this is a rip off but have no idea of cost when its comes to windows.
Thanks

You shouldn't go with it until you have something to compare it with. Get another firm round. If you get someone expensive like Everest or Anglian then you've got a benchmark to go down from.0

So £2125.60 for credit? That's one third of the cost of the windows. Wow! Just wow!Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Grade A
do they ( or anyone ) offer Grade B ? or is it just a useless ratingAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Well he said new build houses have Grade C as standard on their homes, Grade A are the energy ratings of the windows
As for the window I think it might be bowed does this make a big difference in price?0 -
Get at least another quote then you have something to compare to.
It's hard to say if a good price as we don't know the size of the bay windows. I had 2 bay windows plus 5 other windows done for £6k, all A rated (supposedly).0 -
Hi ncstone
Last year I had 22 A rated windows, 2 external doors, 2 sets of patio doors and 1 front composite door ...plus laminated glass, security features etc. All average/reasonable quality to my specifications. I arranged my own fitting
.
To give an idea of value, my total expenditure was around £7500 IIRR
Does this help?...0
