UPS Shipping

Hi all

I ordered something off of Ebay from the states which was sent via UPS worldwide express, over night the following update was posted on the tracking:

Stansted, United Kingdom 04/01/2013 2:46 Released by clearing agency Now in-transit for delivery

About 30 mins ago this was update to this:

Newark, NJ, United States 04/01/2013 5:51 Arrival Scan

How can it be at Stansted one min and then back in the USA or am i reading it all wrong?

Thanks

Are both tracking events in local time?

Wrong way round but if so would explain it.

The are but it still doesn't make sense as its just updated again to

Newark, NJ, United States 04/01/2013 8:33 Departure Scan

and the current time in Newark is 10:35 so this scan has happened within the last few hour

im totally confused but according to the site its on time and will be delivered on Monday so i shouldn't worry to much just wanted to make sure it got through customs and not held until i contacted them (as its quite urgent)

This is the full log if it helps

  • Goods are often pre-cleared ie the local operation may receive the paperwork and process the customs entry before the goods are received - that enables them to get you the goods quicker unless customs choose to inspect the shipment - I reckon there's a good chance you will receive Monday else Tuesday
  • Looks to me like they've sent all of the paperwork to Stansted who have cleared it, and it's now on a plane from Newark to the Stansted
