Hiya guys
Well here I am again, another year, another fresh start!!
Last year was total hell for me. My partner was unemployed for half of the year then flit about between jobs for another 2 months. I had been keeping things ticking over, at the start of last year I had 2 jobs - a secretarial job and a bar job on a night, I was basically working around the clock to keep our heads above water. Anyway in May I was made redundant from my secretarial job after being there for 9 years (straight from school), the guy had literally run the company in to the ground I was absolutely devastated. Luckily the friend I was working for at the pub found it in his heart to take me on full time. However in August the pub company decided to sell the pubs off and I was again made redundant.
Luckily the pay out I got from the secretarial job finishing enabled me to pay off one of my credit cards.
I managed to get a part time job at the local co-op to tide me over until I found another secretarial job and this came in October. :T However the job is further away from home and less paid then the previous one so it is all swings and roundabouts!!
My partner secured a pub chef job (min wage job) in the next town to ours so after travel expenses and tax etc his job is very low paid!
The relationship has struggled this year and we are hanging on by a thread, literally!
Having said all this I am determined to sort my life out and would appreciate any help or words of wisdom from you lovely lot.
Thanks for listening/reading.

Hi HellsBells
You certainly sounds like a fighter, and I just know 2013 will be better for you.
Money worries are such a marriage killer. Hopefully you can both keep searching for more profitable jobs this year and things can settle down abit.
Keep smiling xx0 -
If your wages are very low, have you looked at claiming tax credits?.Mortgage: Aug 12 £114,984.74 - Jun 14 £94000.00 = Total Payments £20984.74

I don't think they are low enough to claim, just seem lower after paying for everything such as bus fares, parking etc etc.Aiming towards a better future ~ debt free to of course
