Debt Collection letter - forwarded to Australia!

Hi, I'm just looking for some advice really... I moved from the UK to Australia in September 2012, before I left I contacted all the companies which I held accounts such as Vodafone, council tax, BT etc. to tell them I was leaving the country and settled final bills on the day I left. However, I've just received all my forwarded post from my family, as I had my mail redirected through the post office from my previous address.

I have several letters/bills from Vodafone and one from a debt collection agency all dated from November 2012.
I'm not sure what to do about it, the bill is only for £20 which isn't an issue, but they have threatened in one letter to take me to court.
Vodafone knew I was leaving the country and couldn't provide a forwarding address as I would be travelling, how did they expect me to receive their letters?

Is there anything I can do to stop this affecting my credit rating? My debt to them is through no fault of my own, I've heard of correction notices for credit scoring but don't know if this is in my interest.

Thanks for any advice!

Its not their fault if you owed the money, why didnt you parents open it for you?

Your credit rating is now containing a default notice
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
