be warned- ebay very glitchy

I am trying to lave feedback on my business account and it keeps stopping me on the basis that feedback has already been left- it hasn't. I cleared all my cache and my cookies and still nothing so I went in via the feedback dashboard thingy- and my business name is showing clearly at top of page, I am definitely in my business account but can only leave feedback on my minor private account!

I tried actually leaving feedback and it lets me and even though I am still logged into my business accoutn (I haven't bene into my private account for nearly 48 hours) I have left feedback 'from' my private account via my business one?

I have also searched three times this morning for an item I want (on my business account) and my three searches returned completely different items each time. I bought on my buying account and the sale is showing on my business account.

It looks like it might be fun trying to list on my private account later for the free listing week.

Hmm

My guess is that this kind of thing flares up because of a combination of key systems staff being on Christmas holiday and the free listing promotion encouraging extra demand. Hopefully tomorrow, some staff will be back and you should find the website a bit more reliable. [But it's just a theory!]

For the free listing promotion, I'm going to list everything tomorrow, for 3 days, so that all items end Sunday. I'm then going to relist everything unsold on Sunday (whilst the free listing promotion is still on), for a further 7 days, so I get two chances of selling everything.

[PS I have followed up Soolin's suggestion below]

Oh, that is a good idea! You should mention that on the thread about the free listing. I never think of things like that until it is too late.

What i do when i have 2 accounts for one website. Use a different browser for each one.

So if i had 2 names on here. I would use firefox for one and google chrome for another.

No accidental logging into the wrong account then.

I did download Firefox but ended up in a nightmare with an add on programme called Babylon that took me and others on the techie thread days to get rid off and I won't chance it again.

Usually eBay promptly sends a confirmation email after I list something, but tonight I've found it's been very slack and in some cases, I've been receiving confirmations hours after I've listed something - even though more recently listed items were confirmed much sooner.

Everything seems to have listed ok on the website, so it seems to be just the comms that have been affected this time.
