tips for getting grout smear off tiles

Hi,
I grouted ceramic floor tiles a while back and I can't get the stupid grout smear off.
I have washed again and again, keep changing the water etc. (I used plain water and then water with a floor cleaner product). I'm not sure if when I mop over more grout gets pulled across (thought when it's properly set this shouldn't really happen?)
No hard lumps of grout or anything, just the smear.
Anyway so it was a month or more since I did the grouting now and still get some smears. Tiles look perfect when wet, but the smearing comes back as they dry.
It doesn't help that my tiles are bumpy/uneven textures.
I thought I'd ask if anyone had any tips
Thank you

Stop washing them. When its dry just use a DRY cloth on it to just buff it off. It will all go in seconds and the tiles will come up lovely.
Where shall I send my account?

Keystone is right. Just dry buff. I usually then buff them with a non wax furniture polish.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

oh thanks, I'll leave them dry and buff tomorrow
I did originally try washing the floor and then drying with a cloth but it didn't work, but hopefully now its all set properly it will work
When I then need to clean the floor will they remain smear free?0 -
I have always used the green nylon scourer type pads - dry. They are abrasive enough to clean grout off the face of the tile, but not to scratch them - i find they work every time.

Phosphoric acid diluted 1 part acid to 5 parts water. Worked well on my bathroom walls. Wear gloves and goggles.0
